Welcome to our website

SeniorNet New ZealandSeniorNet New Plymouth is a non-profit society that provides adults (55+) with access to education on computers, the internet and email with the objective of enhancing their lives and enabling all of the members to share their knowledge and wisdom. Facilities include a teaching area with 6 Desktop computers, 6 Laptops, a scanner, a projector, printers and  broadband internet connection. Since our inaugural meeting in February
1997, when there were 23 foundation members,
our membership has grown to about 250, where it
currently stands.

We are conveniently situated in central New Plymouth, with shops and parking close by. Many of our members use the Centre City parking building or the pay and display in Gill Street where parking is $1 per hour. There is free parking up to 11.00am in town, for Super Card Holders and our morning sessions are arranged accordingly. Our learning centre is in rooms above the Senior Citizens Association in Liardet Street - just off Devon Street towards the sea.

The centre is ideal for our purposes giving us a large tutoring room, toilets, kitchen, office and storeroom, all with wheel-chair access. Our learning centre is used Monday to Friday and all lessons are held during the day with each being of two hours long.
